Are you looking for ways to renew your old lipstick?

4570360918_8a263a2327We all have lipstick that goes bad or they just break off.  Are you looking for ways to renew your old lipstick? So, what do you do with it? Here are some ideas:

1.  Take an old lipstick and use it as a cream blush.  I have spent a lot of money on getting a good cream blush but then I realized why not make my own the color that I want it.  All I did was mix a clear lip gloss with an old lipstick into a clean palette and mix it well enough until you get the color you desire.  Try it on your cheeks and make sure to prime your face first so that it doesn’t look cakey.

2.  Use a little bit of lipstick as cream eyeshadow.  If you use a little bit and spread it out evenly it will come out just like a cream eyeshadow.

3.  You can melt an old lipstick and create a new lipstick.  Please keep in mind that you have to be careful with lipsticks.  It is important to be cautious because you don’t know how the lipstick will react to heat.  I would take an old lipstick and put it in a bowl and warm it up for 2 seconds.  Only 2 seconds! You don’t want to overheat it.  Then, you can add some vaseline, add some flavor if you choose (like vanilla or coconut) and if you want glitter on your gloss you can add some glitter from a loose eyeshadow.  Mix all together into a small bowl or container and voila! You have your favorite lipstick in a jar and not in the garbage.  There are many flavors to choose from:

4.  If you can get a small little jar, then you will have your own lip balm or your own lipstick in a jar.  It is a great feeling when you create your own stuff.

I hope that these tips help you save a few bucks.  In the meantime, creativity can come a long way.  Rock your new lipstick!
