This is a day to celebrate International Women Day and remember all those women who sacrificed to protest for better equality. We have come a long way and we seem to forget all the challenges that women continue to face every day in every area of our lives from politics, education, employment and so much more. On March 8, 1957, a whole bunch of women led a protest against shorter hours, better condition and pay. Because of their bravery and courage, it led to better working conditions. My motto is that it’s always good to know a little bit of facts because more knowledge comes more power.
Being a woman is not just having the ability to do a million different things at the same time or being a mother, friend, wife, sister and so much more. A women is a gem that should be highly respected. I still can’t believe that there are parts of the world where women cannot live freely. If you do not act correctly, there could be some serious punishments. I have no idea what kind of challenges these women face but I pray for a better future where they are no longer abused.
But thanks to the women of the past because of their hard work, we have much more freedom and liberty to do all that we can do today. Sad to say that there are still other countries that still have horrible working conditions and these fights still have to continue on today. There is still a difference to be made so be inspired to make that difference in the world.
Celebrate what you have and pray for those who don’t have much. It is my dream that there will be peace and a brighter future.
