Five little known facts about how to flatter your body


Dresses: Any clothes that can enhance an hourglass are always flattering to body types.  You can always go safe with an A-line.  It falls nicely on the body and it’s loose on the hips so that the eye does not only focus on the stomach or the hips.  The outfit should be able to nip in at the waist and loose on the hips.  You could feel more comfortable and feel powerful.

  • Tops: Fitted V-neck or scoop neck tops can also be a top that can be used for many body types as well.  Be sure that the top is not tight otherwise it beats the purpose of flattering your body.

Jacket or Coats: When choosing a jacket or coat, be sure to invest a little more than a regular top.  Two styles that I feel are flattering are the princess or a plain classic trench coat.  Belted coats can be flattering as well because it tucks in the waist a bit or gives you a waist when you may not have a waistline.

Jeans: Shopping for fitted jeans that sit low on the hips is a great choice when looking for flattering jeans.  Boot-cut and straight leg jeans help elongate your length and making your slimmer.

Swimsuits: Halter tops, supporting bras and tankinis are a great buys for many body types.  I feel that these choices can flatter your body and cover up many imperfections.
