Suma Kaul has a fashion blog called The Fashion Beauty Junkie. She has created a blog that not only gives great tips about beauty and fashion but also has a mix of vintage and eclectic style. I got the chance to interview Suma Kaul herself to learn more about her ideas and inspirations for her blog!
1 How did you get started on your blog?
I love giving fashion and beauty advice to my circle of friends and even sometimes random strangers. I realized I had a hidden talent where what I said mattered to some. At that point I knew I wanted to make my voice known.
2 What inspired you to start your blog?
I am very lucky to have a super supportive boyfriend who pushed me in the direction of blogging. For some strange reason he saw something in me. He is and was my inspiration for starting my blog.
3 How would you describe your style?
I try not to describe my style because I feel that I always have a mixture of things in my look. BUT if I had to narrow it down to a few words, it would be rocker chic meets hipster princess. Does that make sense?
4 Who is your favorite designer?
My favorite designer is Marc Jacobs. I love almost all of his works. They are always wearable and interchangeable to every season.
5 What favorite pieces would be found in your wardrobe?
I have so many favorite pieces! I am a total clothes hoarder. It’s too hard to just pick a few but if I had to, it would be my leather motorcycle jacket that I bought when I was 19! I LOVE wearing that thing! My leather skinnies and my red skinny denim from Express. I can’t get enough of those pants! I have already worn during 3 different seasons!
6 What advice would you give others who also want to start a blog?
The one most important advice I can give to others who want to start a blog is, stay true to who you are. Don’t do anything because the mass is doing it. Be you and your readers will appreciate you for that.
7 Tell your fans something that they don’t know about yourself.
The only thing I can possibly think of is that I have over 35 tattoos and counting. You would never be able to tell if I had long sleeves on.
8 Where do you see your blog going next?
I see my blog opening a lot more doors for me. Since the day I started, to now it has grown so much! I hope to continue to see it grow!
9 What new projects have you worked on?
I have many new projects in the works. I have just started my YouTube Channel which I hope brings in much more friends who love Fashion and Beauty as much as I do!
