New year, new me all over again!

It’s official that we are in 2015, but somewhere along the way I missed the whole “New Year, New Me”  phrase or should I say MeMe.  I thought that I was up to date with most things but apparently being a mom of two made me miss this trend that was all over twitter.  I wish I could keep up with all the trends that are out there but how in the world do you keep up with all the trends while just trying to keep up with your own kids?

I try not to be one of those that tells everyone their new year’s resolutions.  Don’t get me wrong, if you love sharing with others then please go right ahead.  I just don’t like to disappoint myself when I don’t finish that to do list; that’s how I see it.  I don’t see it as resolutions, I see it as a to-do list of things that you have to accomplish before the end of the year.  I already have way too many things on my list so I definitely don’t need to add more.

My to-do list consists of blogging, editing, cleaning bathrooms, cooking, feeding kids and it goes on and on.  I just feel like it never ends.  At the end of the day, I always try to do too much in one day and I never finish so I just take one step at a time.

In the end, I think it should be about making improvements in our lives.  Whether it’s getting a better job, working out or traveling more it’s about making the best of what you have.  I think it makes a difference when you have faith that you will succeed than expecting to fail.  Don’t focus so much on the resolution, but on making the best of what you have and making it better.
