Oscar Awards 2013 The Recap

The Oscar Awards 2013 had many memorable moments but the one moment that people keep talking about is when Jennifer Lawrence fell on her way to accept her Oscar for best actress.  It is a moment that every actress fears, but I think that the incident made her seem more likable because we can all relate to that kind of embarrassment.  After the Oscars, they interviewed her and asked “What happened”?  Her response was hilarious!  She said “What do you mean what happened?  Look at my dress.  I tried to walk up the stairs in this dress that’s what happened”.  It’s funny how these little funny moments stick out in our heads more than any other moment.

Another highlight of the night was bringing Jennifer Hudson to perform the song from Dreamgirls and it really did bring me to tears.  Jennifer Hudson has really come a long way from American Idol; and to think that she actually lost on the show.  She really does inspire anyone who losses on that show to believe that they may have a real chance to succeed.

My favorite part of the Oscars is looking at the beautiful gowns and seeing what is the new fashion trend.  I did happen to see many neutral colors but at the same time I saw a lot of glitter as well.  Naomi Watts neckline has to be mentioned because it was the most beautifully crafted dress.  But, I do not want to leave out the other great dresses of the night.
