Stress relief tips

Laughter truly is the best medicine when you feel stressed, discouraged or troubled. I got inspired to share some stress relief tips so that maybe with my story I can help others who may be going through something similar.  Stress is very common these days between financial, relationships, marriage, kids and work.  The other day I was listening to my lil ones laughing and saying jokes to each other; it reminded me that life is too short and I should not let my problems get in the way.

I am a mom of two and I have been unemployed for four years.  This has been the longest time that I have been without a job.  I never imagined in a million years that I would be out of work for so long and this is why I had decided to start a blog to connect with others who have the same passion that I have with many different things.  I can’t say that things are peachey all the time and I only wish it was but here are some of the tips that has helped me get through difficult times.

1.  Surround yourself with a supporting team- it could be a team of friends, family or colleague but people who keep you thinking positive.  These are the people who keep encouraging to keep moving forward.  Don’t surround yourself with people who bring negativity and bring you down.

2.  Laughter is like an antidote: For me, my kids always make me laugh.  Even if they are just watching tv, they are singing or dancing and it brings me joy to look at them.  Take a moment to find out what makes you happy.

3.  Be grateful: This is so important because we sometimes take for granted what is all around us and just focus on what we don’t have.  Sometimes it takes a situation to remind us that we should be grateful for all that we have and even appreciate others around us.

4.  Exercise: Yes it is a known fact that exercising is another great stress relief tip. This one is a tough one for me because it’s hard to find time when you have kids but believe me…it is important to find the time and it makes a major difference.

Life can get messy but it’s how you manage to clean yourself up and get up again that makes life exciting.  Be inspired to change your course and don’t let stress get the best of you.
